New Features and Parameters PTO Pump Mode: PTO Pump Mode feature allows the customers to use the PTO stationary operation for pumping applications, and to set the maximum vehicle speed allowed for the PTO Pump Mode operation. This feature also allows the customers the option of disabling the vehicle speed processing during the PTO Pump Mode operation. Disabling the vehicle speed processing will prevent the excessive vehicle speed from overriding the operation, and will disable the odometer distance accumulation. While in the PTO Pump Mode Operation, the engine will provide the power to the pumping system, and the transmission tail shaft is engaged. Low Idle Speed Additional Settings: This feature provides the functionality to save user adjusted Low Idle Speed on Power Down. This feature also provides for the adjustment of Low Idle Speed Step Size. Engine Overload Protection: The Engine Overload Protection (EOP) feature provides the ability to limit the engine to a predefined (alternate) torque curve.
If the engine operates in an 'overloaded' state for a calibratable duration, this feature forces the engine to a secondary curve to limit power. Engine Protection Override Switch Configuration: This feature is to configure the Engine Protection Override Switch to allow override on either engine protection shutdown or engine protection derate and shutdown. Idle Ramp Down Additional Settings: This feature provides the ability to set additional parameters that affect, or conditions that must be met, before an idle ramp down occurs.
New Advanced ECM Data: Engine Protection Settings - Expanded to include Engine Coolant Temperature 2 Sensor The Torque Derate, RPM Derate and Shutdown features have been expanded to include the Engine Coolant Temperature 2.This feature provides a record of the last five speed and/or torque derate events. It also provides information about the configuration of derates and shutdowns such as thresholds, type of derate etc. New ECM Diagnostic Test: Aftertreatment SCR Catalyst Desulphurization This process is designed to remove an excess buildup of sulphur on the catalyst. The process will raise the engine speed for a defined period. The length of a stationary (parked) desulphurization will take approximately 2 hours to complete, and the vehicle must be attended during this period. Advanced ECM Data: Expanded to include Engine Coolant Temperature 2 Sensor (Please Click Here for More Details) ECM Diagnostic Test: Aftertreatment SCR Catalyst Desulphurization INSITE-Lite has been translated into 3 additional languages: Hungarian, Polish, Romanian Operating Systems Support: Windows XP 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit INSITE-Lite 7.6 INSITE 7.6.1 is now available and following is a list of changes and features added to this latest build. Greenhouse Gas (GHG) ECM Security, Greenhouse Gas - Idle Shutdown, and Greenhouse Gas - Vehicle Speed Limiter are two new ECM Security settings designed to allow OEMs to configure engine settings to meet the requirements of the GHG Rules which allows the OEM to claim GHG emissions credits.
The OEM will program the features and lock the values with an ECM password. These programmed parameters can only be changed when the password has been provided by the OEM. The Greenhouse Gas ECM passwords are controlled by the OEM, and ECM Password Removal will not function on parameters locked with Greenhouse Gas ECM Security.
Fuel Level Sensor 2 Multiplexing This feature allows customers to configure the ECM to accept the Fuel Level Sensor 2 input via the datalink instead of a physical ECM input. Accelerator Brake Override This feature provides the ability to limit the accelerator when both the accelerator and brake pedals are pressed for a period of time. This will allow the operator to move the vehicle to a safe position when conditions such as a stuck accelerator pedal or lever occurs.
Battery Power Required Lamp This feature informs the user when it is safe to remove power after key off. This allows all data to be saved to the flash, perform any Key OFF tasks and for the ECM to safely shut down.
Once the lamp goes OFF, it indicates it is safe to remove power. Coolant Level Sensor This feature provides the necessary parameters to interface with the Engine Coolant Level Sensor 2. Electric Fuel Lift Pump This feature provides the ability to configure the Electric Fuel Lift Pump. Fuel Level Sensor 2 This feature provides the capability to enable the Fuel Level Sensor 2. Greenhouse Gas Idle Shutdown: This feature provides the ability for OEMs to enable Idle Shutdown as well as define the distance the vehicle must travel before Idle Shutdown can be modified. To change these settings, the OEM must be contacted for the Greenhouse Gas - Idle Shutdown password. Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Speed Limiter This feature provides the ability for OEMs to set the Maximum Vehicle Speed and driver initiated overrides as well as define the distance the vehicle must travel before these settings can be modified.
To change these settings, the OEM must be contacted for the Greenhouse Gas - Vehicle Speed Limiter password. Idle Shutdown Warning Period This feature will set up the amount of time the warning lamp will blink before the engine is shut down while idling. Step Size Adjustment This feature provides the ability to configure the amount of increase or decrease in step size when adjusting the Power Take Off speed. ECM Diagnostic Test This test will be displayed by INSITE only if it is supported by the calibration.
Aftertreatment SCR Performance Test The Aftertreatment SCR Performance test can be used to monitor the status of the Aftertreatment SCR Catalyst Outlet NOx Sensor and the Aftertreatment SCR Catalyst. This test also starts the Aftertreatment Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration. Please note the following supported and unsupported Operating Systems. Additionally, Windows 8 will work with a fairly simple modification outlined here: Beginning with INSITE 8.0.0 due out later this year, Windows 8 will be officially supported and the above manual modification will not be needed.
